Grosvenor Retail Store of the Year Awards 2011

We have just finished judging our Retail Store of the Year awards and the results are hot off the press! 

The overall winner was the Primark store in Meadowhall and runners up were Debenhams Derby and Primark Corby respectively. 

Congratulations to all the staff from all the participating stores. The competition, as usual, was extremely close with only seven points separating the winner from the third runner up out of a possible 172 points.

Each of the Divisional Managers nominated their best store; the criteria being: standards of cleanliness, administration, Human Resources, training and the management and safe storage of materials, machinery and equipment. Each Department Head contributed their own assessments of the nominees based on their own dealings with the store concerned. Operations Managers submitted their Regional Store of the Year, and an audit was carried out on the three finalists.

The award to Meadowhall will be made on Thursday 24th March in the store, when the winners will be presented with the Wallasey Trophy for the second year in succession. Our UK Director, Ben McCauley will do a presentation in front of Senior Managers from Primark stores who will be in attendance.
